Q. Do your events qualify for CPD?

Yes, all our courses contribute to and support CPD. Attendees receive Quadrilect Ltd certificates of attendance for CPD which can be retained as evidence of learning achievements.

As well as being accredited in the UK, our programmes are increasingly being recognised internationally and many are now formally recognised by other institutes and awarding bodies including the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), the Institution of Occupational Health & Safety (IOSH), City & Guilds, and the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (IEHF)

Q. I am interested in a career in facilities management – where do I start?

Our 3-day flagship foundation course Understanding FM provides a thorough introduction to FM. It is suitable for those new to the profession or with less than 2-3 years’ operational experience looking to broaden their range of responsibilities and skills.

The Understanding FM course also provides tuition for optional ILM Level 3 and BIFM Level 3 Qualifications in Facilities Management. As part of our SkillSet range of e-learning courses, we also offer called Getting Started in FM – although a stand-alone course, it can also be purchased as a pre-course taster or supplement to the 3-day Understanding FM course.

Q. Can you deliver this event in-house?

We can arrange in-house sessions of most of our public courses either in their standard format or as more tailored sessions. This provides a highly cost effective alternative for groups of staff with similar needs, helping you to save on delegate fees, travel, and accommodation and above all, time.

Q. If my organisation hasn't paid before the course or conference starts can I still attend?

Yes, however you must have confirmed the booking in writing. If in doubt please call us. Please note that with all overseas bookings and those funded by an individual and not an organisation, full payment is required before the booking can be accepted.

Q. Can you invoice me/my organisation?

Yes. An invoice will be sent with the joining instructions.

Q. How can I pay?

You can pay by BACs, by cheque made payable to Quadrilect Ltd, or by credit card (please note this option carries a 4% + VAT handling fee).

Q. Are your courses eligible for ELCAS funding?

Yes, we are both CTP and ELCAS approved. Our ELCAS provider number is 4000.

Q. If I unexpectedly cannot attend, can I send a replacement delegate?

Yes, but please email us with the course details, delegate’s name and the substitute's name to info@quadrilect.co.uk or call tel: +44 20 7489 7628.

Q. Can I cancel or transfer?

If you cancel within 10 working days from the start of your course full fees apply but substitutes will be accepted. Cancellations must be made in writing.

If you wish to transfer your booking to a future date we will ask you to settle your invoice in full and a further fee of £75+VAT per day will apply.

We reserve the right to change the venue and the right in its absolute discretion to cancel the event.

Q. Where is the course taking place?

The majority of our courses are located in Central London but we also run a selection of courses in Edinburgh. Please call us for venue details on a specific course on tel. +44 20 7489 7628.

Q. Can the venue accommodate my special dietary requirements?

Yes, provided you inform us when you register on-line or using a booking form, alternatively by email info@quadrilect.co.uk or call us on +44 20 7489 7628.

Q. How will I find the venue?

A map will be sent with the joining instructions.

Q. Is there disabled access?

Yes, but arrangements vary at some venues, so phone us for details on tel +44 20 7489 7628.

Q. Is there car parking available?

There are usually commercial car parks nearby. Please check with us beforehand on tel +44 20 7489 7628.

Q. Can my office leave messages for me at the training venue?

Yes, please refer to your joining instructions or call us on tel +44 (0) 20 7489 7628.

Q. Is there a special accommodation rate for delegates at the hotel?

Yes for nights included in our residential packages, we have agreed a discounted delegate rate with the venue and will invoice you for this alongside the course fee. Most of our courses are held at hotels, but where courses are not held at hotels we can supply details of a free accommodation finding service which will help you to find accommodation nearby – call us on tel +44 (0)20 7489 7628 for further information.

Q. Can I arrange an extra night’s accommodation at the hotel for the residential courses?

If you require extra accommodation you will need to arrange this with the venue directly. Please state you are a Quadrilect Ltd delegate so they will be able to co-ordinate your booking. Some of our venues may be able to offer you the discounted delegate rate but this is subject to availability and may not be possible at certain times, particularly during busy periods. You will be responsible for settling the bill on departure for this part of your reservation.

Q. What if I need accommodation but no residential option is given?

As above, please liaise with the venue directly and state you are a Quadrilect Ltd delegate. Subject to availability some of our venues may be able to offer you the discounted delegate rate and you will be responsible for settling the bill on departure for this part of your reservation.

Q. Am I responsible for making my own travel arrangements?

Yes, we will include a location map to the venue when we send out your joining instructions, but we are happy to provide further information on local travel and hotel accommodation.

Q. If I am unable to attend the meeting can I still buy the notes?

Q. Can you stop mailing me?

Yes, if you are on our database. If you are on a list we rented we will ask the list holder to remove you. Please return the envelope to us, with your address still legible or phone us on +44 20 7489 7628, fax us on +44 (0) 20 7489 8185 or email info@quadrilect.co.uk.

Q. Can you add me to your mailing list?

Q. I have got the brochure but is there anything else I need to know?

The brochure should contain sufficient description of the event for you to make a decision, but you can go on-line and download detailed information including the timings on all our courses. In addition don't hesitate to call us on +44 20 7489 7628 to discuss your more detailed needs.

Q. If I make a booking will I get further information beforehand?

You will receive packs comprising copies of slides and associated text on the day.

Q. Can I dress casually?

Yes, we suggest ‘smart casual’ but more importantly wear clothes that will be comfortable to wear during the course.

Q. Can I be added to your speakers list?

Yes. We are always interested to hear from speakers. Please let us have contact details, brief details of speaking experience and your areas of expertise.

Q. Who is eligible for the BIFM member rate?

British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) members are eligible – find out about membership and how to become a member at www.bifm.org.uk/bifm/membership, email membership@bifm.org.uk or call +44 (0)1279 712650. Members of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the Facility Management Association of Australia (FMA Australia) and the Building and Engineering Services Association (B&ES), are also eligible for BIFM member rate.

Q. What about the Other Members fee?

Other Associations’ members such as RICS, CIOB and CIBSE qualify for the Other Members fee – others may be eligible, please contact us on tel. +44 (0) 20 7489 7628.
